Plumbing is an Essential Business During this Pandemic.

In this challenging time there are essential and non-essential businesses.  Plumbers fall into the former category.  We plumbers, as well as electricians and other home techs are continuing to enter the homes of residents around Central Illinois.  Just as you are relying on them to be careful, safe, and clean they are relying on you to keep them safe.

Remember that our guys are accustomed to dealing with potentially unhealthy environments, and there are various precautions that they must take as a plumber to protect themselves.  As you can well imagine we want to make sure that if there is anyone quarantined, we’re not putting our employees at risk.

Here at Dave Bailey Plumbing we are honored to continue serving any and all of the plumbing needs (emergency or not) of the home and business owners around Pekin, East Peoria, Morton and the greater Peoria area.  As always, if you need us, we are a phone call away.  Just call us anytime at (309) 265-6788…and stay well.

Replacing that Old Bathtub.

Let’s start with the obvious…the job of replacing a bathtub to give your bathroom in the Peoria area a new look is the job of a professional!  There are many things to consider before removing a bathtub.  In order to remove the existing tub, you'll have to open the three walls surrounding it. If the room is small, then the toilet, sink, and cabinet may also have to be removed.

Here are some obvious steps –

1.  The old tub must be removed and cleared away.
2.  Installing the new tub which is basically the reverse of removing the old one.

That sounds simple, doesn’t it?  Of course, it isn’t.  There are many, many steps which will be taken during points one and two.  If you live in Morton Illinois or the surrounding area trust Dave Bailey and his crew to do the work of bathtub removal and installation.  Call Dave today and get started on that new bathroom at (309) 265-6788.

The Trees are Blooming.

Beautiful, but potentially damaging…how?  Tree roots growing downward into sewer lines running out in your yard is one thing, but roots growing up from under your house’s slab foundation can invade your drains.  Maybe you find this hard to believe, but this problem is more prevalent than you think!

Here are some signs of roots in drain lines –

1.  A toilet that clogs occasionally
2.  A plunger is no longer enough to clear the toilet
3.  Look for main line stoppage by checking showers and tubs for a back-up

The case may be that roots have invaded your drainage system at your home or office, or the problem may be at the main line.  Whatever the case, call Dave right away.  That’s Dave Bailey the owner of Dave Bailey plumbing serving the plumbing needs of East Peoria, Pekin, Morton and the surrounding area.  Call Dave at (309) 265-6788.
